ULM Wins First Runner-up in Pediatric Mind Challenge
The Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) team has successfully won the First Runner-up award in the Pediatric Mind Challenge held at the Konika XIX Scientific Congress and Exhibition in Semarang, September 29 – October 1, 2024.
The team consists of 5 (five) students from the Specialist Doctor Education Program, Child Health Study Program, namely dr. Arvin Leonard Sumadi JAP, dr. Prabandari KusumaningtyaS, dr. Drey, dr. Jade Irene Linardi, and dr. Gratianus Billy Himawan.
The victory is certainly a source of pride, considering that in the competition the ULM team competed with students from various universities throughout Indonesia. In the ranks of champions in the Pediatric Mind Challenge competition at Konika XIX, ULM was the only winner from a university in Kalimantan.
Previously, the ULM team had made preparations to take part in the PMC competition. Coaching and mentoring are provided by study programs and faculties to the teams that will compete, considering that KONIKA is a 3-yearly activity from IDAI so that ULM is prepared to send resident doctors to take part in every competition such as oral presentation, abstract poster, young research award, dance competition including PMC.
Pediatric Mind Challenge is one of the series of KONIKA XIX in the form of a quiz competition where the participants are students of the pediatrician education program from various universities in Indonesia. This event was held on the last day of KONIKA XIX, namely October 1, 2024.
The XIX National Congress of Pediatric Health Sciences (KONIKA) was organized by the Central Board of the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (PP IDAI). There are several series of KONIKA events, including Call for Paper where participants have the opportunity to present the results of their research studies in the field of pediatric health science, exhibitions, and scientific congresses.
The scientific congress is also filled with several series of events such as scientific symposiums, where participants have the opportunity to meet experts and share and have thematic discussions regarding developments and updates in the field of pediatric health science.
