dr. Kristianto, dr. Felix, and dr. Ilham Win Runner Up Positions in SCIM 2024

PB PAPDI in collaboration with the South Kalimantan Branch of PAPDI again held the 21st National Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Internal Medicine Specialist Association (PIN PAPDI XXI) on October 4-5, 2024. It was held in a Hybrid manner at the Fugo Hotel and Galaxy Hotel Banjarmasin. This competition brought PPDS Internal Medicine students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), namely dr. Kristianto Cahyadi, dr. Felix Hariyanto Salim, and dr. Ilham Rianda to the runner up position.

Followed by PPDS internal medicine students from all universities in Indonesia, each university can send a maximum of 2 teams to compete in this competition. The three PPDS Internal Medicine students from ULM took part in the competition by answering MCQ questions in the preliminary and semifinal rounds and quizzing in the final round. From the preliminary round, 5 teams finally made it to the final round, namely 2 teams from UNAIR, 1 team from USU, 1 team from UI, 1 team from ULM

The ULM team with all their efforts and thorough preparation, is optimistic that they can give their best for the ULM alma mater. Moreover, the competition from other big universities which is very competitive makes them need to set a strategy when in the final round.

“Preparation 3-6 months. Study all the consensus and textbooks in the field of internal medicine,” said dr. Kristianto.

Kristianto admitted that support and mentoring from the study program is also always poured out, one of which is by implementing a quiz simulation which is carried out internally. This also shows the commitment and quality of the study program, especially PPDS IPD FKIK ULM in producing superior and quality resources.

“This achievement shows that the quality of PPDS IPD FKIK ULM as one of the youngest Internal Medicine Study Programs in Indonesia is not inferior when compared to other universities,” he concluded.
