The Rector Meeting with the Chairman and All Senate Members to Explained ULM’s Strategy Towards a World Class University.
Banjarmasin – In order to guide Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) towards becoming a World Class University (WCU), Rector provided material regarding strategies and plans that need to be prepared for the QS World University Rankings on Wednesday (17/01/2024) at the Senate meeting room on the 3rd floor ULM Rectorate.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si delivered material and strategies with the theme “A Never Ending Development, Metamorphosing into World Class”. This is the Rector’s main concern at the moment to be able to make ULM a world class university. WCU is a mechanism for ranking universities on an international scale, both in terms of operations, facilities, methods, and graduates of a university. Therefore, it is hoped that this meeting can become a forum for discussion in perfecting the Chancellor’s regulations regarding the implementation of research in leading ULM to become a World Class University. “I’m allowed to say a lot about where ULM is going. “So that the Rector’s regulatory policies all support ULM’s achievement of becoming a World Class University.”
In the meeting material, it was explained that there are several things that are indicators of assessment, including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty student ratio, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio ( International Faculty Ratio, International Student Ratio, international research network, and employment outcomes, Systems and Technology, and sustainability.
Therefore, the Rector in delivering the material also emphasized the important points in realizing ULM so that it can meet the assessment indicators, namely, the importance of leadership commitment, determining common directions and goals as well as implementation corridors, mobilizing all components of the University with a conducive climate and resources, Pride and Sense of Belonging towards ULM.
