BRI BRILiant Scholarship Accepted by ULM and UIN Antasari Students
Banjarmasin – Baitul Maal BRIlLian Foundation (YBM BRILian), an Islamic philanthropic institution formed by PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, has signed a collaboration agreement with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) and Antasari Banjarmasin State Islamic University. This signing was carried out at the Regional Office of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk South Kalimantan on Tuesday, January 16 2024.
YBM BRILian, previously known as YBM BRI, is determined to improve the quality of life and social mobility of poor families through various programs, including inclusive education, economic empowerment and social and humanitarian activities. One of their main programs is providing scholarships to students in need.
In this collaboration, YBM BRILian offers scholarships to undergraduate students from these two partner universities. This scholarship includes tuition assistance and monthly money or achievement allowance assistance.
ULM Vice Rector for Alumni and Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si, welcomed this collaboration. According to him, this collaboration will have a positive impact, especially for students who need help with their education costs. “Providing scholarships to students in need will of course really help them and we need to appreciate that,” said Dr. Rusmin. He also hopes that in the future there will be increased support from higher education partners or stakeholders in improving the quality of education, especially in achieving the target of Key Performance Indicator 2, namely students who have experience outside campus.
