EXCAMP Indoor 2024 “Honeing Leadership Skills in the Digital Era to Form a Generation of Leaders with Resilience and Integrity”
Banjarmasin, 12 January 2024 – The Educational Technology Student Association (HIMA TEKPEND) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the 2024 Indoor Educational Technology Explore Camp (EXCAMP) activity which took place in Hall 1 of the ULM Rectorate with the theme ” Sharpening Leadership Skills in the Digital Era to Form a Generation of Leaders with Resilience and Integrity.”
In his speech, the Chief Executive of the Activity, Muhammad Ihsan, expressed his hopes to all EXCAMP 2024 participants. “I really hope that through this EXCAMP activity I can form a cadre of student associations that are academically organized and God willing, in the future we will build HIMA TEKPEND and make the Educational Technology study program proud,” he said. .
General Chair of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM Akhmad Fadhil Amara revealed that the EXCAMP Indoor activity was only the first step of the actual Educational Technology Explore Camp activity. He hopes that participants who have taken part in this activity can then collaborate with HIMA TEKPEND and other ORMAWA.
Don’t forget the speech from the lecturer representing Educational Technology, FKIP ULM, Qomario, M.Pd.. He expressed his appreciation and support for holding EXCAMP 2024. He also expressed great hopes for the participants, especially the class of 2023. “We hope that fellow students from the class of 2023 will be cadres of cadres are a reflection of the future and can also have an impact on us as lecturers, because lecturers live from students. “When we don’t have collaboration between lecturers and students, academic activities will not run well,” he concluded.
The agenda continued with the presentation of ID cards to participant representatives as a symbol of releasing EXCAMP 2024 participants by Agus Hadi Utama, M.Pd. and Qomario, M.Pd. as Lecturer representing Educational Technology FKIP ULM together with Chief Executive Muhammad Ihsan.
EXCAMP Indoor presented four speakers, starting with a presentation of material regarding the Indonesian Education Technology Student Association (IMATEPSI) which was delivered directly by one of the members of the IMATEPSI Business Fund, Muhammad Fajrian. Next, the second resource person came from the ULM Student Executive Board (BEM) for the 2022/2023 period, Ahmad Nurhadi. He discussed leadership skills in organizations. Apart from that, the Chairman of BEM FISIP Muh Zhaldi Putra Fahrizal was also present as a resource person in this activity by presenting material about leadership. In his delivery, he taught how to improve communication skills in a student organization. Lastly, EXCAMP Indoor also presented a resource person who focused on the field of public relations, namely Sri Annisa who is a Public Relations Officer at Wetland Box with the topic of discussion, namely the character of students who have ethics.
In between delivering the material, participants carried out ice breaking by displaying the chants of their respective groups who were randomly appointed by the Master of Ceremony (MC). The interactive discussion and question and answer session then moved on to the fun game agenda. The fun game was packaged in the form of a quiz about the Educational Technology Student Association and Educational Figures guided by General Chair Akhmad Fadhil Amara and Event Coordinator Wildan Tamami. At its peak, the committee gave appreciation in the form of prizes and trophies as a form of feedback to the best participants individually and as a group.
With the target activity being active students of the Educational Technology Study Program, the EXCAMP Indoor 2024 activity was successfully held. From the entire series of events, we can see the role of organizations in shaping an individual. Social interactions and relationships in it awaken the spirit of leadership and responsibility. Organizations connect many people with different backgrounds, places of residence, and personalities to work together to achieve one goal. As HIMA TEKPEND always echoes, Surung Tarus Sandang Barataan.
