UPA Wetland Environment ULM Attends Indonesian Simultaneous Tree Planting Invitation in South Kalimantan Governor’s Office Environment.
Banjarbaru – Head of ULM Wetland Environment UPA Dr. Eng. Maya Amalia, S.T, M.Eng attended and participated in simultaneous Indonesian tree planting in the South Kalimantan region. Today’s planting Kick Off event was carried out on a hybrid basis throughout Indonesia. A total of 3,000 Eucalyptus plant seeds were successfully planted during this activity. This activity, which also includes the Green Revolution Movement, the idea of South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor, was held on Sunday, January 14 2024 at the Indonesian Tropical Rain Forest Park (TH2TI) roundabout located in the South Kalimantan Governor’s Office Complex in Banjarbaru.
This planting is in order to follow up on the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo regarding planting trees throughout the 2023/2024 rainy season, this is also to improve the climate in Indonesia and to make the Indonesia’s Folu Net Sink Program (IFNET) a success.
It is hoped that planting through the Green Revolution Program activities will not only improve the environment and climate, but also improve the community’s economy, and through this activity it will be able to provide motivation for the community and the younger generation to continue planting and protecting the environment.
