Increasing the Transformation of ULM Integrated Laboratory Academic Services Towards Accredited Laboratories
Banjarbaru – In order to improve services to the public, the Integrated Laboratory of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the event “Socialization of the Transformation of Academic Laboratory Services and Integrated Laboratories of Lambung Mangkurat University Towards an Accredited Laboratory” which was held in the Integrated Laboratory building, Monday (23/10/2023) . This socialization brought in the head of the National Standardization Agency (BSN) Drs. Kukuh S. Achmad, M.Sc., apt as resource person. Also present at the event was the Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., Head of the Integrated Laboratory Dr.rer.nat. Liling Triyasmono, S.Farm., M.Sc., Prof. Dr. Gusti Muhammad Hatta, Dean and Head of Laboratory at ULM.
This socialization was carried out with the aim of conveying the operation of the Integrated Laboratory in the new building which was inaugurated in June 2023 where the ULM Integrated Laboratory has actually been established since 2015. ULM as a higher education institution with Public Service Agency (BLU) status must be able to utilize its assets in order to improve PNBP income. This certainly makes the existence of the Lab. The integration owned by ULM is one of the important assets in order to achieve this target. In the future, the Integrated Laboratory will carry out a better service transformation by being accredited by BSN. National accreditation by BSN certainly cannot be separated from the support of all the ULM academic community. “The commercialization of this laboratory will not be separated from the support of all parties, especially the Rector for his mandate given to us to lead this Integrated Lab and of course being able to guarantee the quality of all educational laboratories within ULM. ” Said the Head of Integrated Lab.
Some of the things that have been achieved over the last 6 months by the ULM Integrated Lab are the proposal of the Rector ‘s Decree regarding Services in the Integrated Lab, so that on the day this socialization activity took place, the Integrated Laboratory has provided the Rector ‘s Decree for Services and it can be used by the entire academic community. Apart from that, the ULM Integrated Laboratory has also strengthened organizational governance for the new SOTK. Dr.rer.nat. Liling Triyasmono, S.Farm M.Sc. We hope that next year there will be at least 4 laboratories in the Integrated Lab and within the Faculty which currently have testing laboratories which can process immediately to obtain accreditation.
The Rector also did not forget to express his highest appreciation to the Head of BSN who was pleased to attend ULM. According to him, this meeting, which is considered very strategic, is expected to measurably improve performance achievements within the ULM environment. He strives to utilize all aspects so that they can become income generating in order to increase PNBP through assets owned by ULM while encouraging a significant increase in ULM’s performance.
