Rector Inaugurates 4 New Professors

Banjarmasin – Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Sc., inaugurated 4 (four) new Professors. The inauguration event was held in the Hall on the first floor of the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate Building, Wednesday (04/10/2023). The 4 (four) professors who were inaugurated were Prof. Dr. Rusma Noortyani, S.Pd., M.Pd (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education) based on Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 44602/M/07/2023 dated 15 August 2023, Prof. Dr. Hairudinor, S.Sos., M.M (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) based on Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 46184/M/07/2023 dated 24 August 2023, Prof. Dr. Drs. Herry Porda Nugroho Putro, M.Pd (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education) based on Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 46188/M/07/2023 dated 24 August 2023, Prof. Dr. Drs. Syaiful Hifni, Ak., M.Si., CA (Faculty of Economics and Business) based on Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture Number 46189/M/07/2023.

The Rector hopes that the newly inaugurated Professors can develop their knowledge according to the branch of knowledge they master. By increasing the number of professors within ULM, it is hoped that the quality of existing education will further increase in the context of implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education. The Chancellor believes that with the increasing number of professors that ULM has, in the future it will also improve the quality of research, education and community service at ULM.

“The presence of professors is important and strategic to support our efforts to advance Lambung Mangkurat University so that it can compete at the national level and become a world class university,” said the Rector. In his speech, the Rector of ULM also stated his target to increase the number of doctoral programs opened at ULM. “Because the number of our professors has increased, it is not difficult to add doctoral programs at ULM, as well as to encourage study programs at ULM to obtain international accreditation,” said the Rector.

More than just a scientific flag bearer, this professorship is also a role model for the academic community in building, upholding and maintaining academic values and policies. Therefore, the mandate carried out by these professors also requires them to be leaders in the academic field and be role models in terms of integrity and responsibility.
