ULM’s Hyperfit Team Wins Third Place at KMI Expo 2025
Magelang – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again achieved a proud achievement at the national level. One of ULM’s student entrepreneurial teams won third place in the prestigious KMI Expo 2025, an annual competition that brings together young innovators from various universities across Indonesia.
The ULM team, with its work titled Hyperfit — Fitness Class Service, captured the attention of the judges thanks to its adaptable entrepreneurial concept relevant to modern lifestyles. Hyperfit offers flexible fitness classes, both in-studio and at-home, allowing users to choose a workout method that suits their needs, time, and preferences.
Hyperfit was developed as a fitness class solution that is not only affordable but also personalized. With a personalized training approach, the team positions Hyperfit as a service that can accommodate the needs of active urban communities with limited time.
“We introduced the mobile fitness class concept because Hyperfit is already operating and has its own market. That’s what makes us unique in this competition,” said a team representative in an interview.
The 2025 KMI Expo in Magelang presented a unique challenge for the participants. According to the Hyperfit team, this year’s service category was filled with strong competitors from various universities, especially businesses operating in tourism and cultural services, which are highly relevant to the event’s theme.
“Even though the competition was very tight, we still tried our best to showcase our business potential,” they said.
Besides competing, the team also gained valuable experience from the event’s rich cultural atmosphere. Muhammad Roid Abror, a team member, said, “This year’s theme was culture, and we learned a lot about Magelang’s local culture—batik, a city icon, and its unique customs.”
Hyperfit’s success is inseparable from the full support of Lambung Mangkurat University. The team stated that the university’s support was invaluable, from business coaching and workshops to the selection process and departure to the national event.
“ULM’s support means a lot to us. Even the presence of the Vice Rector III gave us encouragement. We are proud to represent ULM,” said the team.
This achievement reaffirms ULM’s commitment to nurturing students to continuously innovate, become entrepreneurs, and produce work that has a real impact. ULM consistently offers various programs to develop interests and talents, ranging from training and business mentoring to facilitating national and international competitions.
Lambung Mangkurat University believes that student achievement reflects the quality of a supportive and progressive academic ecosystem. Through a spirit of collaboration and innovation, ULM will continue to encourage the production of creative, adaptable students and graduates who are ready to contribute to regional and national development.
By winning Third Runner-Up at the KMI Expo 2025, Hyperfit not only brought ULM’s reputation to the national stage but also demonstrated that the best ideas always arise from the courage to try, innovate, and continuously develop.
