Iqbal, Siti Sa’idah, and Mariyam Win First Place in the 2025 AIPAC International Poster Design Competition
Banjarbaru (October 12, 2025) – Students from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) have once again achieved a proud achievement in an international competition. The team, consisting of Iqbal Prayoga Anggara, Siti Sa’idah, and Mariyam, won first place in the 2025 AIPAC International Poster Design Competition, organized by Airlangga University, Surabaya.
This international competition carried the theme “Innovative Technologies in Aquaculture: Transforming the Future of Sustainable Fish Farming.” Students from various universities in Indonesia and abroad participated in the competition. The process began with registration and ended with the finalists being evaluated on October 10, 2025.
The team’s preparation took approximately three weeks. The process began with selecting a topic relevant to the sub-theme “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Aquaculture,” followed by gathering references, developing a conceptual framework, and finally the entire poster design process.
“We are very proud and grateful to be able to represent Lambung Mangkurat University at the international level. This has been a valuable experience for us, not only in honing our critical and creative thinking skills, but also in learning to work together as a team,” said Iqbal Prayoga Anggara, the team representative.
Siti Sa’idah also added, “The process was quite challenging, but we tried to support each other and learn together. We discussed every idea openly to ensure the best possible outcome and aligned with the competition theme.”
Meanwhile, Mariyam expressed her gratitude for this achievement. “We never expected to win first place at the international level. But thanks to hard work, good communication, and guidance from our lecturers, we were able to deliver the best possible result. Hopefully, this will be the first step to continue achieving and inspiring other students.”
This victory is expected to inspire other students to continue achieving and daring to compete on the global stage. The team also hopes that the spirit of innovation and collaboration will continue to grow within the ULM academic environment.
With this achievement, Lambung Mangkurat University further affirms its role as an educational institution that encourages students to be highly competitive, broad-minded, and contribute significantly to the advancement of science and technology.
