Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) once again held the 2nd International Conference on Wetland for Sustainable Development Goals (ICWSDGs), combined with the 2025 National Seminar on Wetland Environment (SNLLB), on Saturday (10/11/2025) at the ULM General Building. This prestigious scientific event brought together researchers, academics, and practitioners from various fields to discuss current issues related to wetland management and the application of technology to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event opened with the singing of Indonesia Raya and a dance performance of “Sangga Singgang” by students from the Department of Performing Arts Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, ULM. In his report, the committee chairman, Dr. Ir. Yuslena Sari, S.Kom., M.Kom., IPM, stated that this conference provided a platform for sharing research results and innovations related to wetland environments and the application of sustainable technology.

The Head of LPPM ULM, Prof. Sunardi, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., in his remarks emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration to maintain the sustainability of wetland ecosystems, a unique asset of South Kalimantan. This event highlighted the crucial role of wetlands in supporting sustainable development, from ecological, social, economic, and public health perspectives.

Through this event, researchers, academics, students, practitioners, and policymakers were invited to share ideas and research findings relevant to current environmental issues. One of the areas highlighted by Prof. Sunardi was the use of technology and AI to promote sustainable development, particularly from an economic perspective.

Several keynote speakers were divided into two sessions.

Session I:
