ULM Strengthens Global Competitiveness, Four Study Programs Receive ASIIN International Accreditation Extension
Banjarbaru – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of higher education with impressive achievements at the international level. Four study programs from two faculties within ULM have officially received international accreditation extensions from the German-based Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Mathematics (ASIIN).
This decision was announced in an official ASIIN letter dated July 15, 2025, following an evaluation process by the ASIIN Accreditation Commission at a meeting held on June 27, 2025. Thus, the four study programs are entitled to international accreditation status until September 30, 2029.
The study programs that received accreditation are:
- Bachelor of Agricultural Industrial Technology Program (BA Agricultural Technology)
- Bachelor of Agribusiness Program (BA Agribusiness)
- Bachelor of Soil Science Program (BA Soil Science)
- Bachelor of Forestry Program (BA Forestry)
This accreditation process is the result of collaborative work between each study program and the ULM Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP), which assisted in all stages of preparation and completion of evaluation documents.
The Head of LPMPP ULM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Agung Nugroho, S.TP, M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the dedication of all parties involved.
“This decision proves that ULM’s study programs have met international quality standards. This is an important foundation for accelerating ULM’s progress in academic internationalization,” he said.
He added that LPMPP ULM will continue to assist other study programs in achieving similar accreditation, in line with the university’s vision as a globally competitive higher education institution based on wetland environments.
ASIIN is a German-based international accreditation agency that focuses on quality assurance for study programs in engineering, informatics, natural sciences, mathematics, agriculture, and biology. In addition to providing certification, ASIIN also supports educational institutions in improving academic quality through comprehensive accreditation procedures.
This achievement further reinforces ULM’s reputation as a leading higher education institution that consistently prioritizes quality and global recognition.
