LPMPP Holds Workshop on Team Based Project and Case Method in Semester Learning Plan (RPS)
Banjarmasin – In the increasingly dynamic world of education, students’ ability to apply knowledge practically is one of the indicators of the success of the learning process. Project-based assessment and case studies are one of the effective evaluation methods to measure this competency. This method not only assesses the final result, but also the process that students go through, including critical thinking skills, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Efforts need to be made to accommodate the needs of educators/lecturers at Lambung Mangkurat University so that they can implement this assessment. Therefore, the Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP) held a Workshop on Project-Based Assessment (Team Based Project) and Case Method in Semester Learning Plan (RPS) on Monday (2/12/2024).
The activity carried out at the Swiss-bel Hotel Banjarmasin is expected to provide an understanding to educators at ULM about effective project design and appropriate assessment methods. Prof. I Made Narsa as the Director of Innovation and Educational Development of Unair was invited as a resource person to provide a presentation related to the material to the Vice Dean I and Study Program Coordinators at ULM.
Vice Rector I of ULM, Dr. Iwan Aflanie welcomed this activity. According to him, this is a form of attention given to be able to provide learning innovation in an increasingly advanced era. He also believes in the importance of implementing this workshop in supporting the learning system at ULM and hopes that this activity can provide benefits and can be implemented into the learning system/curriculum in each Faculty and Study Program.
“The target that we hope for later is that each faculty and study program can accommodate OBE (outcome based education) activities in their curriculum so that the implementation of the case method with team based projects can run well,” he said when interviewed.
