The Rector Provides Strategic Recommendations at the 2027 HSU Regional Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang)

Hulu Sungai Utara – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) reaffirmed its role as a strategic partner in regional development through the presence of Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., at the 2027 Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) held at the Dr. KH Idham Chalid Hall on Thursday (March 26, 2026).

The event was also attended by the HSU Regent and Vice Regent, H. Sahrujani and Hero Setiawan, members of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), officials from the HSU Regency Government, and community leaders. The ULM Rector served as a resource person, along with the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si., and Prof. Syarifuddin Kadir, M.Si., who provided strategic input on the direction of regional development.

The ULM Rector’s presence at the forum drew attention, as it was the only district Musrenbang he attended in person, emphasizing ULM’s commitment to supporting science-based development planning.

In his presentation, the ULM Rector emphasized that HSU Regency has significant potential to be developed as an agrominapolitan area, integrating the agriculture, fisheries, and livestock sectors based on local potential.

“Hulu Sungai Utara Regency has enormous local resources that can be developed in an integrated manner. Through an agrominapolitan approach, development will not only focus on increasing production but also on creating added value and improving community welfare,” he said.

The Rector also presented several strategic recommendations, ranging from mapping regional potential, strengthening the role of regional government agencies (SKPD) in program integration, to developing a medium-term development action plan for the next five years.

“Lambung Mangkurat University is committed to continuing to contribute through scientific studies, applied research, and policy assistance so that regional development can be more focused, sustainable, and have a real impact on the community,” he added.

Meanwhile, HSU Regent H. Sahrujani emphasized that the 2027 Regional Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) is a crucial stage in determining the direction of regional development.

“This forum provides a shared space to refine the draft RKPD until it becomes a final document,” he said.

He explained that the 2027 RKPD marks the second year of implementation of the 2025–2029 Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) with the vision of HSU Bangkit (Rising HSU), which focuses on strengthening the economy, improving human resource quality, developing infrastructure, providing public services, and preserving the environment.

Through active participation in this Musrenbang, Lambung Mangkurat University reaffirms its role as an impactful campus that focuses not only on education and research but also makes tangible contributions to regional planning and development based on local potential and scientific knowledge.
