2026 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) Socialization: ULM Prepares 7,061 New Student Seats, Upholds Fairness and Transparency
Banjarmasin — Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Socialization and Promotion event for the 2026 New Student Admissions (PMB) on Friday (January 30, 2026) in the General Building Lecture Theater. This event demonstrates ULM’s commitment to providing transparent and comprehensive information regarding the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) to the public.
The event was opened by ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, SE., M.Si., and attended by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH., and Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si. The socialization was held both offline and online, with school principals in South Kalimantan, parents, and representatives of prospective students invited.
In his remarks, the ULM Rector emphasized that the National Student Admissions System (SNPMB) was designed to provide fair and equal opportunities for all prospective students.
“The SNPMB was designed to provide fair and transparent opportunities for prospective students, both through academic and non-academic achievements, as well as the results of the UTBK (Competency Test). Likewise, we implement the principles of new student admission at ULM in an open, accountable, and transparent manner,” he emphasized.
The Rector also emphasized the importance of integrity in the selection process, particularly through the invitation-based selection process.
“I need to remind school principals and heads of departments not to interfere with report card grades in unwise ways during the invitation-based selection process,” he said.
Meanwhile, the ULM Vice Rector for Academic Affairs detailed the schedule, quota, and mechanisms for the 2026 SNPMB at ULM. He explained that new student admissions follow a national scheme with three channels: the National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP), the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT), and the Independent Selection.
For the 2026 National Student Admissions (SNNPMB), ULM has allocated a total capacity of 7,061 students across 11 faculties, two Diploma III study programs, and 71 undergraduate study programs. This capacity comprises 1,930 students through the SNBP pathway, 3,326 students through the SNBT pathway, and 1,805 students through the Independent Selection.
Furthermore, registration for the SNBP pathway will be open from February 3–18, 2026, with the results announced on March 31, 2026. Registration for the SNBT pathway will be held from March 25–April 8, 2026, with the UTBK implementation from April 21–30, 2026, and the SNBT results will be announced on May 25, 2026.
Through this outreach activity, Lambung Mangkurat University hopes that principals, parents, and prospective students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the 2026 PMB process. ULM affirms its commitment to maintaining the principles of transparency, accountability, and fairness in recruiting the best prospective students from South Kalimantan and other regions.
