ULM Strengthens Ties with Tabalong Regency Government Through Gathering and Friendship
Tabalong – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) continues to strengthen ties and synergy with the Tabalong Regency Government through a Gathering and Friendship event held at the Dandung Suchrowardi Hall, Tabalong Regency, on Sunday (January 25, 2026).
Organized by the Tabalong Regency Government, this event provided a forum for dialogue and collaboration between the university and the regional government in supporting human resource development based on regional needs.
Present at the event were Tabalong Regent Ir. H. Muhammad Noor Rifani, S.H., S.T., M.T., officials from Tabalong Regency, as well as the leadership of Lambung Mangkurat University, Vice Rectors I, III, and IV, Faculty Deans, exemplary leaders, Heads of Academic Support Units, and members of the ULM academic community.
During the celebration, the Tabalong Regent expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the presence of the Lambung Mangkurat University staff. He also welcomed all participants in an atmosphere of camaraderie and familiarity.
The Tabalong Regent expressed his hope that the collaboration between the Tabalong Regency Government and ULM would continue to grow. Currently, the existing collaboration involves approximately 1,000 undergraduates through various collaborative programs. He also announced plans to open a Study Program Outside the Main Campus (PSDKU) at the ULM Faculty of Engineering in Tabalong Regency, which is expected to be implemented this year.
Meanwhile, ULM Vice Rector I, Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH, emphasized in his “Everything” address that developing collaborations, including the PSDKU plan, demonstrates ULM’s commitment to addressing the real needs of the region and its community.
“When we approach Tabalong, we must address the real needs of the community. PSDKU is not built on a one-sided whim, but is chosen based on the needs most relevant to the region’s potential,” he said.
He added that PSDKU development cannot be carried out independently by universities but must be built through strong and sustainable collaboration with the local government.
“We realize that developing PSDKU cannot be done alone. It must truly be done together. Through this warm forum, we hope to generate innovative, down-to-earth ideas that we can implement together,” he explained.
According to him, this friendly and friendly forum serves as the initial foundation for building long-term collaboration that will have a real impact on the community.
“This forum is the first step we are building together, so that in the future, the synergy between ULM and the Tabalong Regency Government can continue to grow and provide broad benefits,” he concluded.
Through this friendly and friendly event, Lambung Mangkurat University affirms its commitment to strengthening collaboration in education, research, and community service, while simultaneously promoting equitable access to quality higher education in South Kalimantan, particularly in Tabalong Regency.
