Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an awards ceremony for students in the form of awards and work performances on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Banjarbaru Auditorium. Present at the event were ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., Vice Rector III Dr. Rusmin Nuryadin, M.Si., and Vice Rector IV Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc. This event was a form of recognition given by ULM to outstanding students who have strived to bring honor to ULM at the national and international levels.
Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Rusmin Nuryadin, explained that although ULM student performance has declined this year, ULM continues to participate in national forums such as PIMNAS (National Student Scientific Week), Pilmapres (Pilmapres), the National Digital Competition, POMNAS (National Student Scientific Week), KMI EXPO, and others.
This award was given to students with national and international achievements, student organizations, the most productive and accomplished supervisors, and the most productive faculties and study programs. Furthermore, Dr. Rusmin explained that this award was based on data collection and weighting conducted by a special team through the SIMKATMAWA application, a ULM student achievement data collection application that must be carried out independently.
“Based on the 2024 assessment by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, SIMKATMAWA ULM is ranked among the top universities this year,” said Dr. Rusmin.
This achievement also received high praise from the ULM Rector. He expressed great hope that this activity would motivate and inspire us to continue striving for the best achievements across all dimensions of student activities in the future.
“This achievement was certainly not easy, but thanks to the hard work and synergy built by the ULM academic community, this is one of ULM’s most valuable values,” added the Rector.
In addition to giving appreciation, this activity was also packaged and opened with a performance of the best works or performances from ULM students, including the ULM choir and the winning performance in the XVIII MTQMN in 2025 for the Syarhil Qur’an category.
