Amidst the joyful atmosphere, ULM also demonstrated its social concern for the disaster that befell our brothers and sisters in Sumatra. The Rector emphasized that ULM has sent a medical team, psychologists, and experts to assist with disaster management and has also provided tuition waivers for the following semester for ULM students from affected areas.
On this occasion, the Rector also presented ULM’s institutional achievements throughout 2025, including the winning of two Kemdiktisaintek Awards, an increase from one award in previous years. This achievement was described as the result of the collective work of the entire ULM academic community. Going forward, ULM aims to win more awards as part of strengthening its national reputation.
The Rector also outlined ULM’s strategic agenda, including accelerating the construction of the ULM Rectorate Building and preparing the ULM Teaching Hospital, planned for Banjarbaru. These two agendas are expected to further strengthen ULM’s role as a center of education and public service.
The Rector advised the graduates to continue developing themselves and to consider pursuing master’s and doctoral studies at ULM. ULM offers various tuition fee incentives, including tuition waivers for cum laude graduates in the first two semesters and discounts for outstanding graduates, as an effort to accelerate the development of regional human resources.
