ULM Holds Workshop “The Art of Speaking and Event Management,” Strengthening Students’ Soft Skills
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) once again demonstrated its commitment to developing students’ soft skills through a workshop titled “The Art of Speaking and Event Management: Mastering the Stage and the Audience,” held on Monday, November 24, 2025. This workshop was organized by ULM’s Student Affairs Division as part of a program to improve non-academic competencies for students.
The workshop featured two professional speakers: Naintia Taurisiani, Founder of Nineteen Project, who presented Basic Event Management, and Aditya Agusta, Founder of Cuecard Public Speaking, who provided intensive training on public speaking techniques and stage mastery. The event was moderated by Mulyana Nur Amalia, Putri Lambung Mangkurat Inteligensia 2024.
In her remarks, Evy Noor Aina Hasni, S.E., Coordinator of Student and Alumni Development, stated that ULM continues to foster a comprehensive student development environment, emphasizing not only academic aspects but also preparing students to compete in the professional world.
The workshop was attended by students from various ULM study programs who enthusiastically learned effective communication strategies and skills for managing a professional event. Through practical sessions, Q&A sessions, and simulations, participants were encouraged to understand how to convey messages clearly, confidently, and captivate an audience.
The workshop was interactive and practical, providing firsthand experience in the challenges and techniques of managing events and public speaking. This workshop also served as part of ULM’s ongoing efforts to provide relevant training that supports students’ career readiness.
With this event, ULM emphasized its role as a university that actively facilitates the holistic development of students’ abilities—equipping them not only with knowledge but also with the communication and managerial skills needed to become adaptive and competent young people.
