Educational Digital Video Innovation on the Theme of Sexual Violence Leads ULM’s Vida Team to the Finals of the 2025 LIDM
Banjarmasin, November 21, 2025 – Students from the Faculty of Medicine and Medicine (FKIK) of ULM, the Vida Team, have successfully advanced to the finals of the 2025 Student Digital Innovation Competition (LIDM), organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology. This prestigious event will attract finalists from across Indonesia at PGRI Adi Buana University in Surabaya from December 1-3, 2025.
In the 2025 LIDM, the Vida Team presented an innovative idea through an educational video on sexual violence in the digital world, entitled “Fatamorgana.” This concept is considered different from other educational videos because it addresses the sensitive issue of sexual violence in the digital world.
Furthermore, the Fatamorgana video also educates on the importance of supporting victims and not discriminating, as stated by the leader of the Vida Team, Ibaldy Riyandu: “This video is also a form of support for friends who are victims of sexual violence, especially AI abuse, and an effort to educate about not blaming or victim-blaming.”
This educational video is aimed at school students, university students, and the general public. The 5-minute, 21-second video focuses not only on the impact experienced by victims of digital-based sexual violence but also on its broader, more lasting impact. The Vida Team recognizes that sexual harassment in digital media is like the tip of the iceberg, with widespread impacts, particularly the negative stigma surrounding victims. Furthermore, the advancement of technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), is driving the rise in similar cases.
The Fatamorgana video has been released on the Vida Team YouTube channel, as part of a sexual violence awareness campaign on campus, and as part of a joint outreach program with the Women’s Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning Agency (DP3AP2KB). This innovation by the Vida Team is not only an innovation that is being competed but also real evidence of the concern and contribution of ULM students to address social phenomena that occur in society.
