Four student teams from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) have successfully qualified as finalists in the 2025 Student Creativity Program (PKM). Based on the assessment of PKM implementation progress (PKP2), the four teams are eligible to participate in the 38th National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) at Hasanuddin University on November 23-28, 2025.

The following PKM groups from ULM have qualified for PIMNAS 2025:

PKM-RE (Exact Research) Category

  1. Multifunctional Edible Film from Avocado Seeds with Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC)-Clove Essential Oil Filler as Packaging for South Kalimantan’s Typical Dodol – Linda Maulida (2210814220041)

PKM-RSH (Social Research Humanities) Category

  1. Behind the Scenes of Academics: Behavioral Analysis and Justification for the Use of Academic Assignment Jockeys from the Perspective of Moral Disengagement Theory – Ahmad Syauqi (2210914110017)
  2. Digital Comic Based on Integrated Tetrahedral Representation of Ethnochemistry of Sasirangan Cloth Dyeing in South Kalimantan in Solution Material – Eirene Kardiani Zalukhu (2310120120007)
  3. Mindful Walking Meditation: Comparison of the Effects of Real and Virtual Walking in the Botanical Gardens on Mood and Stress Recovery in Autoimmune Patients – Ibaldy Ryandu Fadhillah (2310914210026)

Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of ULM, Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Sc., stated that Lambung Mangkurat University was designated as a higher education institution in Cluster 1 for the 2025 PKM (Community Development Program). This clustering is determined annually by the Higher Education (Dikti) Student Affairs and Student Affairs Agency (Belmawa Dikti) prior to the PKM proposal submission period.

“In 2024, our PKM program at ULM was in Cluster 2, and we successfully won five awards, almost all of which we won. Therefore, as a token of appreciation, we were promoted to Cluster 1,” said Dr. Rusmin.

In 2024, 67 PKM proposals were successfully funded, placing ULM in sixth place among universities in Indonesia for the most funded proposals. Furthermore, Lambung Mangkurat University also won five awards at the 2024 PKM Awards, which subsequently led to ULM’s promotion from Cluster 2 to Cluster 1 for the 2025 PKM program.

This presents a new challenge as ULM will face stiffer competition from Indonesia’s top universities in PKM development. This year, 20 proposals from ULM successfully secured PKM funding for 2025, consisting of 13 PKM proposals with funding schemes and seven PKM proposals with incentive schemes.

The Student Creativity Program (PKM) is an annual program organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). This program is designed to hone and unleash student creativity in the fields of research, technology, community service, entrepreneurship, creative ideas, and innovative works.

PKM 2025 carries the theme “Indonesian Students: Characterful, Achieving, and Inspiring.” There are eight fields open to the PKM funding scheme, including Exact Research (RE), Social and Humanities Research (RSH), Creative Initiatives (KC), Innovative Works (KI), Community Service (PM), Application of Science and Technology (PI), Entrepreneurship (K), and Constructive Video Ideas (VGK). Two other fields, namely Scientific Articles and Constructive Video Ideas, are open to the PKM incentive scheme.

PKM 2025 has 10 (ten) themes that serve as a reference for students in developing their PKM. These themes are generally designed to accommodate students’ creative ideas to produce works that are beneficial and have a direct impact on society. The ten themes of PKM 2025 are:

  1. Food, Energy, and Water Independence;
  2. Public Health and Nutrition;
  3. Corruption Prevention and Eradication;
  4. Poverty Eradication;
  5. Drug Prevention and Eradication;
  6. Strengthening education, science, and technology;
  7. Strengthening gender equality and protecting the rights of women, children, and persons with disabilities;
  8. Environmental preservation and disaster mitigation;
  9. Economic equality, strengthening MSMEs, and developing the National Capital City (IKN);
  10. Preserving arts and culture and enhancing the creative economy.

ULM’s participation in PKM is expected to contribute to the climate of education and intellectual product innovation in Indonesia. Through participation in the PKM program, it is hoped that it will provide a platform for ULM students to compete and network at national-scale events.
