Banjarbaru — Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), together with the Indonesian Community Service and Empowerment Synergy Association, successfully held the 11th National Conference on Community Service and Corporate Social Responsibility (PKM–CSR) 2025. The event, themed “Strengthening Ecologically Based Community Economics to Achieve Sustainability Towards a Golden Indonesia,” took place in the 3rd Floor Main Building Hall of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) ULM, Banjarbaru, on Thursday–Friday, October 23–24, 2025.

The event was attended by academics, researchers, CSR practitioners, the business community, and students from various universities in Indonesia, such as Sebelas Maret University (UNS), Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Telkom University, Tarumanagara University, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, Pelita Harapan University, and Swiss German University.

Also present were ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., the Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province Dr. Ir. Ariadi Noor, M.Si., representing the Governor of South Kalimantan, as well as the Heads of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) and national speakers from various educational institutions and the industrial sector.

In his remarks, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si. expressed his appreciation to Sebelas Maret University (UNS) and LPPM ULM for collaborating to organize this event. He emphasized the importance of building a sustainable and inclusive national economic ecosystem through cross-sector collaboration.

“Complete cooperation, synergy, and collaboration between academics, business actors, the industrial sector, the government, and various other parties are needed to realize equitable and sustainable future economic growth,” said the ULM Rector.

He added that the role of research and community service (PKM) is crucial as a bridge between the campus and the needs of the community.

“From research to PKM, and from PKM to the community—that is the strategy for accelerating national development. ULM will continue to be present alongside the local government, business, industry, NGOs, and the media in promoting equitable development in South Kalimantan and Indonesia,” he emphasized.

Representing the Governor of South Kalimantan, the Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province, Dr. Ir. Ariadi Noor, M.Si., assessed that the theme of this activity is highly relevant to the context of regional and national development.

“Economic growth must be in harmony with ecological sustainability. In South Kalimantan, we have implemented this commitment through various policies, including the E-Optima TJSLP application as a spatial-based corporate social responsibility governance instrument,” he explained.

He added that the provincial government is encouraging CSR programs to be more than just ceremonial, but to become part of the company’s value chain that strengthens the community economy and preserves the environment.

“We hope that CSR can be synergized with government development programs, such as small-scale infrastructure development, skills training, ecological conservation, and green economy development,” he added.

Through the 11th National Conference on PKM–CSR 2025, ULM affirmed its commitment as a regional university in Kalimantan that continues to contribute to national development. This event serves as a crucial momentum in strengthening collaboration between universities, the business world, and the government to realize a green, socially just, and sustainable economy toward Golden Indonesia 2045.
