Participants from the 2025 MTQMN began arriving at Syamsudin Noor International Airport on Saturday morning (October 4, 2025). The MTQMN 2025 pickup and transportation team from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) took turns accommodating the groups until they reached their respective accommodations.

Approximately 1,500 participants from 194 universities are scheduled to arrive in stages with their respective groups until Monday morning (October 6, 2025). The group from the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Higher Education Directorate is scheduled to arrive in Banjarmasin on Sunday (October 5, 2025).

As planned, the opening ceremony of the 18th MTQMN 2025 will be held on Monday (October 6, 2025) afternoon at the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium, attended by the Director General of Belmawa Dikti, the Governor of South Kalimantan, and university leaders in Banjarmasin. That evening, ULM will also hold a Tabligh Akbar (Grand Religious Service) gathering with Ustadz Das’ad Latif at the ULM Open Space, which will serve as a momentum to deepen faith and strengthen ties among the participants.

This year’s MTQMN will feature 15 competitions held at Lambung Mangkurat University.

As host, ULM is demonstrating its strong commitment to ensuring the success of the 18th MTQMN by providing the best service for all participants. ULM also invites students, academics, and the wider community to support and enliven this national event as an effort to ground the values of the Quran in academic and social life.

ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., stated that this event is not just a competition, but also a spiritual moment that must be shared.

“The MTQMN at ULM is a space to strengthen the spirit of the Quran among Indonesian students. We invite all parties to actively participate, maintain a conducive atmosphere, and make this event a vehicle for strengthening brotherhood and spreading Quranic values in South Kalimantan,” he said.

He further added that ULM is ready to be a friendly and inspiring host and is committed to making the 2025 MTQMN a momentum to build the character of a young generation with noble morals, knowledge, and a contribution to Indonesia Emas 2045.
