ULM Wins Three Awards on National Statistics Day 2025
BANJARMASIN – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) affirmed its commitment to strengthening statistical literacy in academia. This commitment was demonstrated by winning three awards at the 2025 National Statistics Day (HSN) Commemoration held by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of South Kalimantan Province on Friday (September 26, 2025).
The awards included the categories of Best Statistics Contributor, Best Statistics Corner, and Best Statistics Agent. These three awards are concrete evidence of ULM’s contribution to supporting the provision of quality data and fostering a culture of statistics-based research on campus.
ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., expressed his appreciation to the entire academic community for this achievement.
“This success is thanks to a shared awareness of the importance of statistical literacy. For researchers, both lecturers and students at ULM, statistical data is a crucial foundation for research. These three awards motivate us to continue strengthening collaboration with BPS and developing a data-driven research culture on campus,” said the Rector.
The awards were presented during the 2025 National Statistics Day Commemoration Ceremony held at the South Kalimantan BPS Office, themed “Impactful Statistics for a Progressive Indonesia.”
The Head of the South Kalimantan BPS, Mukhamad Mukhanif, emphasized that this achievement is not only about the data, but also its impact on development.
“We hope that data will not stop at mere presentation and analysis, but will truly provide tangible benefits for development,” he said.
This success further emphasizes ULM’s role as a university that consistently promotes the use of statistics in research, community service, and academic policy making.
