ULM Holds Bazaar and Cheap Market as a Celebration of its 67th Anniversary
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Bazaar and Cheap Market to commemorate its 67th Anniversary. The three-day event, from September 18-20, 2025, officially opened on Thursday (September 18, 2025) in the parking lot of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., along with expert staff in economics and development Dr. Ir. Miftahul Chair, S.T., M.T., accompanied by Vice Rector II Dr. Ir. Arief, RM. AKbar, and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, ULM, struck the gong to officially open the bazaar and cheap market. The presence of university leaders added to the festive atmosphere of the inauguration.
In his remarks, the ULM Rector stated that the bazaar and low-cost market were not only a celebratory event but also a tangible contribution to ULM’s support of the community’s economy. This event also served as a platform for the ULM Rector to showcase ULM’s achievements, demonstrating its dedication to meeting educational needs in Kalimantan.
The bazaar and low-cost market featured various booths from MSMEs, students, and representatives from ULM’s faculties. The products offered varied, from affordable basic necessities to regional culinary specialties and creative products created by students.
This event provided a platform for students and academics to hone their entrepreneurial skills and introduce local products to the wider community.
Visitors were enthusiastic about the event. It is hoped that this bazaar will become a regular event that not only enlivens the university’s anniversary but also strengthens the campus’s relationship with the community.
