Brilliant Achievement: ULM Achieves Highest SINTA Score in Kalimantan and Enters Top 30 on National EduRank
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again achieved impressive results in research and scientific publications. According to the latest Science and Technology Index (SINTA) data from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, ULM ranks first in Kalimantan with a score of 974,031 points.
Furthermore, ULM has also successfully entered the top 30 universities in Indonesia according to Edurank 2025, ranking 27th. This achievement confirms ULM’s position as the best university in Kalimantan, surpassing Mulawarman University (ranked 39), Tanjungpura University (ranked 44), and Palangka Raya University (ranked 55).
“The achievement of a SINTA score of 974.031 is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community, who continue to collaborate in developing research and scientific publications. This score has increased significantly and is a clear testament to ULM’s commitment,” said ULM Rector, Prof. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Si.
Compared to other universities in Kalimantan, ULM’s lead is quite significant. Tanjungpura University ranks second with a score of 726,324 points, while Mulawarman University ranks third with 545,086 points. This gap demonstrates ULM’s consistency in producing high-quality publications.
Not only does ULM excel in terms of scores, but it also boasts the largest number of active researchers in Kalimantan, with 1,749 researchers, surpassing Mulawarman University (1,558 researchers) and Tanjungpura University (1,270 researchers). This number demonstrates ULM’s increasingly strong and sustainable research ecosystem.
This achievement serves as a driving force for ULM to continue improving the quality of its research through funding support, infrastructure, and human resource development. The SINTA data released by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology serves as an important indicator of research productivity and strengthens ULM’s contribution to the development of science and technology in Indonesia.
Going forward, ULM is committed to expanding multidisciplinary research that benefits society, particularly research that supports economic, social, and environmental development in South Kalimantan and Indonesia in general.
