Tanah Bumbu – The Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) that had an Impact in Tanah Bumbu Regency officially concluded on Wednesday (August 21, 2025). The closing ceremony was held at the Tanbu Regent’s Hall and also included a Student Innovation Expo resulting from the KKN-T program.

This activity received appreciation from various parties for the tangible contribution of ULM students in supporting regional development, particularly in Tanah Bumbu Regency. The PIC of the KKN-T that had an Impact at FPIK ULM and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Indira Fitriliyani, stated that the closure of the program does not mean the end of ULM students’ contributions to Tanah Bumbu.

“Nothing is closed, because our contributions to Tanah Bumbu will continue and will continue. Thank you to all parties involved. We will schedule regular meetings with village heads to ensure synergy remains strong and sustainable,” she said.

Representing the ULM Rector, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Si., emphasized that the FPIK Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) represents a new breakthrough in collaboration with the local government.

“This FPIK Thematic Community Service Program represents a new breakthrough with the local government, as not all faculties can implement thematic KKN like this. We hope this activity will not stop here,” he explained.

He added that ULM is ready to fully support the involvement of other study programs in the future.

“If the Regent requires all study programs to attend, we will do so. This collaboration will not only involve FPIK students but also other study programs to jointly advance Tanah Bumbu Regency. This can then be extended from FPIK to other faculties according to regional needs. We at ULM will help realize the vision and mission of Tanah Bumbu Regency,” he added.

The Regent of Tanah Bumbu, H. Andi Rudi Latif, S.H., M.H., officially closed the FPIK ULM Thematic Community Service Program with Impact. In his remarks, he expressed his highest appreciation for ULM’s contribution to Tanah Bumbu.

“On behalf of the local government, I express my deepest appreciation to ULM, especially the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), for selecting Tanah Bumbu as the location for the Community Service Program (KKN),” said the Regent.

The ULM FPIK Thematic Community Service Program with Impact in Tanah Bumbu is expected to be the beginning of a sustainable synergy between universities and the local government in supporting community development, particularly in the fisheries, maritime, and village empowerment sectors.
