“We want to bring health services closer to the community while providing education so that the public is aware of the importance of early disease prevention,” he said.
The Mayor of Banjarmasin, H. M. Yamin HR, welcomed ULM’s initiative and hoped that similar activities could be expanded to other areas. “The presence of specialist doctors is certainly beneficial; the public can consult directly and receive health education,” he said.
According to the Head of the Banjarmasin Health Office, Dr. Tabiun Huda, the series of activities included free health checks, consultations and treatment with specialist doctors, education on healthy families, and socialization of the use of eco-enzymes.
“This activity also strengthens the SASAR (Household Waste Awareness) innovation as a clean and healthy living movement,” he explained.
The activity received high enthusiasm, with approximately 200 Mantuil residents attending and utilizing the health services provided. With the full support of ULM and the Banjarmasin City Government, it is hoped that this activity will become a sustainable step in improving the quality of public health.
