This activity aims to build a creative ecosystem among young people, especially students, with an educational, inspiring, and collaborative approach. Furthermore, this activity also discusses in more depth what the creative economy is and 17 subsectors according to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
The 17 subsectors are the focus of development because they have proven to be able to drive economic growth, create jobs, and absorb the potential of young people creatively. Among them are the advertising sector, architecture, fine arts, product design, interior design, visual communication design, fashion, film, animation and video, photography, crafts, culinary, music, publishing, applications, interactive games (Games), performing arts and television and radio.
One of the speakers, Dini Oktaviyanti explained the difference between the creative economy and MSMEs which lies in its protection. Thus, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is here to be able to provide opportunities for creative economy activists to register their creativity so that it can be protected.
This was also enthusiastically welcomed by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Sc., who said that this event will be a major capital in building economic growth in South Kalimantan. Moreover, ULM accommodates many potential resources to be able to stimulate the creative economy, especially in Banua South Kalimantan.
“The creative economy is the future of Banua South Kalimantan,” said the ULM Rector.
By holding Banua Creative Goes to Campus, it is hoped that students and the young generation of Banua will be increasingly inspired to contribute to building an inclusive, productive, and competitive creative ecosystem.
Through collaboration between campuses, communities, industry players, and the government, this activity is a strategic step in producing local creative talents who are ready to compete at the national and global levels.
