South Kalimantan Regional Secretary Selection, Participants Asked to Present Strategic Ideas
Banjarmasin – The Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), Prof. Ahmad Alim Bachri, also took part in the open selection process for the position of Regional Secretary of South Kalimantan Province (Sekdaprov). He is one of five members of the selection team tasked with assessing the competence of prospective Regional Secretary candidates, including through the interview stage and presentation of strategic papers.
The selection process is now entering the next stage, after nine applicants were declared to have passed the administrative selection. They will take part in the field competency selection which is planned to be held in Jakarta, as conveyed by the Head of the Selection Team, Roy Rizali Anwar.
“We plan to implement it in Jakarta as before, because several selection teams are domiciled there,” he said, Monday (14/4).
In this stage, the participants will present a paper with the theme “Realizing the Vision and Mission of the Governor and Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan”, which must be the result of original thinking and have never been published. The paper must be prepared in the form of a power point presentation and delivered directly to all members of the selection team. “The contents of the paper must reflect the conceptual and strategic thinking of the participants,” added Roy.
Before the paper presentation stage, participants were also required to undergo a managerial and socio-cultural competency assessment (assessment center) which took place on April 16-17 at the Regional Office VIII BKN Banjarmasin in Banjarbaru.
The selection team consisted of Roy Rizali Anwar as chairman, and four other members: Imas Sukmariah (Main Secretary of BKN RI), Akmal Malik (Director General of Regional Autonomy, Ministry of Home Affairs), Prof. Ahmad Alim Bachri (Rector of ULM), and Prof. Mujibburrahman (Rector of UIN Antasari).
Participants who passed to this stage included officials from various agencies in South Kalimantan, such as Acting Regional Secretary Muhammad Syarifuddin, Head of the Manpower Office Irfan Sayuti, and Expert Staff Adi Santoso. The selection process is targeted to be completed and the results submitted to the Governor of South Kalimantan on April 24.
