ULM Welcomes BAN PT Field Assessment for Institutional Accreditation

Banjarmasin, February 27, 2024 – Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) is undergoing a field assessment process by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) from February 27 to March 1, 2024. This activity is a crucial stage in the institutional accreditation assessment to ensure compliance with higher education quality standards. Seven expert assessors from various leading State Universities (PTN) in Indonesia are present to evaluate ULM’s academic aspects, governance, infrastructure, and community service. This process involves document reviews, facility observations, and interviews with the academic community to obtain comprehensive data as the basis for accreditation assessment. The assessors assigned by BAN PT are competent experts in their fields, namely:

• Prof. Dr. Sarwiji Suwandi, M.Pd (Sebelas Maret University)
• Prof. Ir. M. Sc., Ph. D Indratmo (Bandung Institute of Technology)
• Prof. Dr. Dra. Dewi Susanna, M.Kes (University of Indonesia)
• Prof. Dr. Iwan Permadi, SH., M.Hum (Brawijaya University)
• Prof. Dr. Andi Sularso, SE., MS (Jember University)

BAN PT is an independent institution under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) tasked with evaluating and accrediting higher education institutions based on the National Higher Education Standards (SN Dikti). The institutional accreditation process includes assessments of nine main criteria, ranging from vision-mission, governance, to research outputs and community service. The results of this accreditation not only serve as a benchmark for the institution’s credibility but also as a reference for ULM’s strategic development going forward.

This field assessment activity is a moment for ULM to showcase its achievements and innovations in the tri dharma of higher education. ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., stated that the university has prepared itself maximally to ensure transparency and accountability during the assessment process. “We are committed to continuously improving the quality of education services, research, and social contributions to achieve excellent accreditation,” he emphasized. The results of this accreditation are expected to strengthen ULM’s position as a leading university in Kalimantan and nationally.
