FKG ULM and University Kebangsaan Malaysia Hold 2nd International Hybrid Conference 2025
Banjarmasin, February 24, 2025 – Faculty of Dentistry, University of Lambung Mangkurat (FKG ULM) in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry, University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) held the 2nd International Hybrid Conference (IHC) 2025 at Tree Park Hotel, Banjarmasin, on Monday (24/2). This event is a learning event for students and dental professionals in increasing their capacity and expanding their international cooperation network.
Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Dentistry, FKG ULM, drg. Isnur Hatta, S.KG., MAP, in his speech said that IHC 2025 is a strategic step to improve the quality of education and skills in the field of dentistry.
“We organize this activity as a learning medium for students and dental professionals. In addition, this conference also aims to establish cooperation with various partner hospitals, such as RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman, RSUD Ulin, RSUD Sultan Suriansyah, RSUD Ansari Saleh, and RS Bhayangkara, as well as with the Indonesian Dentists Association (PDGI),” he said.
This conference involved five speakers from Indonesia, Malaysia, and South Korea. The hybrid format allows participants to attend the event both offline and online, thus expanding its reach and impact.
- As an international academic event, IHC 2025 has several main objectives, including:
- Improving knowledge and skills in the field of dentistry.
- Strengthening international cooperation in dental education.
Establishing collaboration with hospitals and professional organizations to improve the quality of dental services and education.
In addition to students and academics from FKG ULM and UKM, this event was also attended by various invitees, including hospital leaders, representatives of PDGI South Kalimantan, and alumni of FKG ULM. Speakers from UKM, Associate Professor Dr. Shahida Binti Mohd Said and Dr. Tew In Meei, also contributed to the scientific discussion session.
IHC 2025 is expected to contribute to improving the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) of Lambung Mangkurat University and support efforts towards becoming a World Class University. With the holding of this conference, it is hoped that further innovations and collaborations will be born that can enrich insights and improve the standards of dental education in Indonesia and internationally.
