ULM Opens New Student Admissions for 2025, Provides 7,512 Quotas
Banjarmasin – Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) officially held a socialization and promotion event for the 2025 National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) for prospective students from high schools, vocational schools, and equivalent institutions in South Kalimantan. This event took place at the General Building Library, Lecture Theater Room, ULM, Banjarmasin.
This year, ULM provides a quota of 7,512 new students, who will be admitted through three selection pathways: the Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), the Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), and the Independent pathway.
In his speech, ULM Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Iwan Aflanie, highlighted the challenge of unemployment in Indonesia, including among university graduates.
“Indonesia faces a major challenge with high unemployment rates, including among intellectuals. This is a homework for all of us,” he said.
ULM currently has 10 faculties and 120 study programs, with 60 percent of them accredited A. Additionally, ULM continues to develop by adding new study programs, such as a Bachelor’s in Sociology and several other specialist programs.
SNPMB 2025 System and Schedule
In SNPMB 2025, there are specific provisions regarding the distribution of student admission quotas:
✅ SNBP (achievement-based): at least 20% of the study program capacity. ✅ SNBT (written test-based UTBK): at least 40% of the study program capacity. ✅ Independent pathway: a maximum of 30% of the study program capacity.
For State Universities with Legal Entity (PTN-BH), the provisions are slightly different, with a minimum SNBT quota of 30% and a maximum Independent pathway quota of 50%.
This year, there is a significant change, namely an additional 5% quota in the SNBP pathway for schools that have implemented the e-report system. Additionally, participants can now choose up to four study programs, consisting of two academic programs (Bachelor) and two vocational programs (Diploma 3 or Diploma 4/Applied Bachelor).
