FKG ULM Reopens Free Services to Commemorate National Dental Health Service Month
Banjarmasin — In order to commemorate the 2024 National Dental Health Service Month, the Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM) together with the Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) held free dental health examination and treatment services for the general public.
This activity will last for three days, from 17 to 19 December 2024, with support from various parties, including PT. Unilever, which also supports the vision of being free from dental and oral problems in Indonesia through the use of their products.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Expert Staff for Social Welfare and Human Resources of the Province of South Kalimantan Husnul Khatimah, Dean of FKG ULM Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., Director of RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman drg. Teguh Hadianto, Sp.KG., as well as a number of hospital leaders, such as the Director of Ulin Hospital, Director of Suaka Insan Hospital, and the Chairperson of the South Kalimantan Province Baznas.
Carrying the theme “Healthy Teeth, Greater Life,” this activity aims to increase public awareness about the importance of maintaining dental and oral health. For three days, services will be provided to 250 patients each day.
Registration is open to the general public from 08.00 to 16.00 WITA with several free services, such as:
- Simple filling
- Simple extraction of permanent teeth (excluding wisdom tooth extraction)
- Fissure sealant (treatment in the molar cavity)
- Topical fluoride application
- Extraction of baby teeth
Director of RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman, drg. Teguh Hadianto, Sp.KG., said that this activity has been routinely carried out for the past two years with the hope of providing a positive impact on the community.
“Hopefully this activity can run successfully and provide great benefits for the community,” said drg. Teguh.
Dean of FKG ULM, Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., also expressed her gratitude for the implementation of this activity.
“Alhamdulillah, we are very happy to be able to collaborate with RSGM in this social service activity for the Banua community,” said Prof. Maharani.
This activity shows a shared commitment to improving the quality of dental and oral health of the people in South Kalimantan, while also building awareness of the importance of maintaining health as a step towards a better life.
