FKG ULM Alumni Association Officially Formed, Encourages Potential Development and Community Service

Banjarmasin — The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM) held an inauguration and formation of the FKG ULM Alumni Association (IA). A total of 52 alumni were sworn in and inaugurated as administrators of IA FKG ULM in Banjarmasin, Sunday (15/12/2024).

The Head of IA FKG ULM, drg. Tri Nurrahman, explained that this organization aims to be a place for alumni to socialize and develop their potential.

“We want to make IA FKG ULM a place for alumni to improve their abilities through training, seminars, and hands-on. In addition, we also prioritize more innovative and routine community service in various districts in South Kalimantan,” he said.

IA FKG ULM designs development programs such as training, seminars, and direct practice (hands-on) to support alumni in improving their professional competence. In addition, community service will be the main focus, with activities reaching more areas in South Kalimantan.

Head of the FKG ULM Professional Study Program, Debby Saputera, added that the presence of IA FKG ULM is expected to strengthen the relationship between the faculty and alumni.

“We hope that this Alumni Association will be a common place to support education and community service, so that synergy between the faculty and alumni can be well established,” he said.

The community service program designed by IA FKG ULM will be packaged more innovatively and reach various levels of society in districts/cities in South Kalimantan. Thus, alumni not only play a role as medical personnel but also as agents of change who bring real benefits to the community.

Through the establishment of IA FKG ULM, the faculty and alumni are committed to continuing to support the development of professionalism, solidarity, and contribution to society in a sustainable manner.
