ULM Banjarbaru Integrated Laboratory, Ready to Provide Research Services in Various Fields
The Integrated Laboratory is an academic support unit (UPA) owned by Lambung Mangkurat University and was inaugurated in 2015. In June 2023, the new Integrated Laboratory building was inaugurated by the Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si. The Integrated Laboratory is located on Jalan Unlam I, Banjarbaru, tasked with carrying out the operational service functions of all laboratory operations.
The ULM Integrated Laboratory provides various high-tech services and facilities to support research, testing, and innovation. The ULM Integrated Laboratory has been equipped with various facilities to meet various research and development needs.
The services that can be obtained at the ULM Integrated Laboratory range from sample testing, use of tools, expert consultations, and access to modern equipment. The ULM Integrated Laboratory is also equipped with meeting rooms and seminar rooms. In addition, the ULM Integrated Laboratory also opens training facilitation services and internship facilitation services.
There are 5 (five) main areas of service available at the ULM Integrated Laboratory:
1) Chemical Analysis
2) Material Characterization
3) Biological Analysis
4) Food Science
5) Air Analysis
Instrumentation of chemical analysis tools include Aquamate 8100 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FT-IR with Eco ATR, Raman Spectrometer HO-SP-CRM216, AAS ICE 3000, HPLC 1260 Infinity II, Vanquish Liquid Chromatography HPLC.
Instrumentation of material characterization tools include SAA Nova 800, SEM Evi 10 with EDX. Instrumentation of biology tools include Next Generation sequencing Gen.2 & Gen.3, Real Time PCR 96 5plex, Victor Nivo S, Trinocular and Binocular Microscopes.
Instrumentation of food science tools includes GCMS equipped with various injectors such as ALS and HS Injectors, then there are also Texture Analyzer, Dew Point Activity Meter, Moisture Analyzer MB 90, SoxROC Extraction, Kjeldahl Automatic System, Rotary Evaporator, and Freeze Dryer.
ULM Integrated Laboratory is designed to be a center of collaboration, not only within ULM, but also external institutions and parties. Research services are provided for research at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, both within ULM and for researchers from state and private universities in or outside South Kalimantan.
Through the Integrated Laboratory it has, ULM has the desire to become a place for research, innovation, and technology to unite for a better future. Through various facilities and services owned by the ULM Laboratory, it is hoped that it can present innovative solutions to challenges in various fields.
