38 New Dentists Inaugurated and Oath of Dentist Drg. Adhimas Rilo Pambudi Wins National Rank 3 in UKDGI

Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM) took the 34th Dentist Oath, Tuesday (27/2/2024). A total of 38 dentists were inaugurated and took the oath directly by the Dean of FKG Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., in the Hall of the Faculty of Dentistry. This oath taking ceremony was attended directly by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., all members of the Senate of the Faculty of Dentistry, the Head of the Dental Hospital and Mouth Gusti Hasan Aman, Representative of Ulin Hospital Banjarmasin, Representative of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Service and all academic members of the ULM Faculty of Dentistry.

Director of RSGM Hasan Aman drg. Teguh Hadianto, sp.KG in his speech congratulated the new dentists. He also hopes that dentists who have just taken the Dentist oath will continue to develop IPTEKDOKGI (Dental science and technology) through formal and non-formal education or through specialist channels. “We are going through a process that will be hard, but when it is finished it will be beautiful,” he said. Drg Teguh also advised dentists not to forget to improve the quality of service to the community.

Prof. Dr. Drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., reported various achievements achieved by dentists at the inauguration of the 38th dentist, including 3rd place nationally in the Indonesian Dentist Competency Test (UKDGI) achieved by drg. Adhimas Rilo Pambudi, Many Dentists have participated in the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) affirmation program which received praise and visits from the Ministry of Health and were asked to improve. Prof. Maharani also supports that dentists will continue their studies at master’s or specialist level. He also expressed his thanks to all parties who continue to help develop the competencies and skills of FKG ULM students.

ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., on his occasion expressed his appreciation to the new dentists, their parents and families. The Chancellor said that there are still many areas in Indonesia that really need the presence and contribution of new dentists, including in the South Kalimantan Province region in realizing national development towards a healthy society.

The Rector also reminded new dentists about the challenges they would face in the future. To face these challenges, the Chancellor advised new dentists to continue to update their insight and knowledge. “Without continuous improvement in the field of learning, you all will be left behind in filling scientific developments and keeping pace with developments in science and technology. Never stop learning here. “Be a dentist who learns endlessly,” he concluded.
