Lambung Mangkurat University has been chosen again to organize the 2024 Independent Student Exchange Program.
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has been selected as one of 128 Universities (PT) that will organize the 2024 Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM 4). Of the 210 PTs initially considered, only 128 PTs were ultimately selected for this program. The signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between PT recipients of PMM 4 and the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs was held on Thursday, January 18 2024. This event took place at Plaza Insan Pendidikan Berprestasi, Building A Floor 1, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Jalan General Sudirman No. 19, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
The Academic Affairs of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH and the Coordinator of PT recipients of PMM ULM, represented by PMM Financial Manager M. Rusliansyah, will be present at the event. They will sign the PKS on behalf of ULM. The PMM 4 program is part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, which aims to provide opportunities for students throughout Indonesia to experience student exchange and study at other HEIs. By selecting ULM in this program, it is hoped that it will provide new opportunities for ULM students to gain valuable learning experience and improve the quality of education at ULM.
PMM is an initiative launched by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. This program is designed to give students the opportunity to study at other universities in Indonesia for one semester. The main goal of this program is to strengthen unity in diversity and provide valuable learning experiences to students.
The PMM program has helped students increase their national insight, integrity and solidarity through intercultural learning. Apart from that, this program also helps students develop leadership abilities and soft skills, as well as providing them with the opportunity to gain learning experience at the recipient university through credit recognition.
