Treasurer Goes to Campus “Developing Banua Through Regional Fiscal Studies”
Banjarmasin – The Directorate General of Treasury (DJPb) Regional Office of South Kalimantan Province held a Treasurer Goes to Campus (InTress Goes to Campus) activity by visiting Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Thursday (21/12/2023). This event was held in the Student Activity Center (SAC) Hall of General Building ULM Banjarmasin and was attended by hundreds of ULM students.
Carrying the theme “Developing Banua Through Regional Fiscal Studies”, South Kalimantan Regional Office of DJPb gave a presentation on Government Financial Statistics at the South Kalimantan regional level and Dissemination of the Third Quarter Regional Fiscal Study for South Kalimantan. The presentation also explained an analysis of opportunities and challenges as well as central-regional policy strategies in overcoming fiscal imbalances and their implementation of related laws. Through the presentation of these materials, it is hoped that it can open students’ insight into how state financial management is developing.
Head of the South Kalimantan Province DJPb Regional Office, Syafriadi, said that since 2021 DJPb has a new task as Regional Chief Economics, namely that DJPb is responsible for developing and coordinating which includes planning, monitoring and disseminating information as well as research coordination.
“Therefore, we hope to be able to build coordination and collaboration with the campus, because we can also produce quality academics so that our business and economy will be better,” said Syafriadi.
DJPb’s presence at ULM was also stated to be aimed at making the more contextual budget implementation policy program provided by the Ministry of Finance a success by collaborating with universities.
Responding to this, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., really appreciates the activities carried out by DJPb, which according to him will certainly have an impact on economic growth and the welfare of the people in South Kalimantan.
“This is a form of continuous cooperation and we will continue it in the future,” said the Rector.
He said that ULM opened the door for cooperation as wide as possible to collaborate with the Directorate General of Treasury in order to make the Ministry of Finance’s policies a success.
“Therefore, we will welcome what the Regional Office hopes to collaborate intensively with ULM with open arms and enthusiasm so that we can implement central government policies for the existing system in South Kalimantan from policies specifically the Ministry of Finance,” added the Rector in his speech. .
