The Kharisma Nusantara Festival, Closing of the 2023 Independent Student Exchange Program at ULM
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is preparing to release inbound students for the 2023 Independent Student Exchange (PMM) program through the Nusantara Kharisma Festival at the General Building ULM Banjarmasin on Tuesday (19/12/2023). A total of 128 inbound students who took part in the PMM 2023 program at ULM attended this event. They come from various regions in Indonesia with all different cultures, customs, tribes and potential resource wealth and adapt for one semester with their other friends.
Not without reason, the PMM program was formed with the hope of increasing national insight, love of the country, and understanding student diversity and tolerance. This program is also the center of special attention for the Rector of ULM and the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at ULM who are very cooperative in dealing with the obstacles and difficulties experienced by inbound students at ULM. This is also proven by ULM’s consistency in being fully committed to the policies and programs carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture, such as good coordination of the Nusantara module. The role of the PMM Team also has a big impact on the success of this program, where monev and evaluation are always carried out regularly, both for students, lecturers, mentors and others.
The PMM 3 Program Manager of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture, Rajib Khafid Abruzzi, who was present to give an online speech, acknowledged that ULM has been a campus that has had a very orderly administration since the start of this program. So this becomes a source of pride and motivation for ULM to continue to improve the quality in implementing the PMM program in the following years. He did not forget to congratulate the 128 PMM students and advised them to always maintain diversity and friendship in order to expand networks and spread the benefits gained while undergoing the PMM program.
“I entrust it to 128 students throughout Indonesia to care for the diversity of the archipelago, you are the next generation of the nation,” he said
This program is a program that can strengthen national unity. This is also believed by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si.
“Hopefully this will be the first step in the friendship between the nation’s children that is woven into the national program, namely PMM,” he said.
The Rector is also committed to implementing this program better.
“In the future, there is a better arrangement for MBKM, this arrangement is all for achieving performance in implementing MBKM at ULM in the future,” he added.
This event took place with great fanfare. Plus, the invitees are required to wear traditional clothes from their respective regions, adding to the uniqueness and excitement of this event. Students also performed dances and songs, even the ULM MBKM Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Suratno, M.Pd. The Rector did not want to be outdone, contributing a song as a sign of farewell.
