FKG, RSGM and PT Unilever Provide Free Dental and Oral Health Services to the Community in Commemoration of National Dental Health Month 2023

Banjarmasin – In commemoration of National Dental Health Month (BKGN) 2023, Gusti Hasan Aman Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) together with the Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk synergized and collaborated to hold a Free Dental Treatment activity , namely providing free dental and oral care. This activity will be held for 3 days from 19-21 December 2023 at RSGM Gusti Hasan Aman, Banjarmasin.

This activity carries the theme “Indonesian Smile, Strong Teeth, Healthy Mouth” by providing various positive and beneficial activities for the community, such as counseling, promotion, examinations and medical procedures such as tartar cleaning, simple filling of permanent teeth, simple extraction of permanent teeth. , topical application of fluoride, fissure sealant, and extraction of milk teeth.

As a form of close and intensive collaboration between RSGM and FKG ULM, this positive value activity has been carried out frequently since 2022.

“In every activity, we try to collaborate and support each other between RSGM and FKG ULM, so that RSGM always works together to hold positive activities which are of course beneficial to the community,” said RSGM Director Gusti Hasan Aman, drg. Teguh Hardianto, sp.KG.

The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasarai, Sp.PM., who hopes that this BKGN activity can be carried out every year to fulfill the benefits of dental and oral health facilities in the community. This is of course also an interesting and memorable experience for FKG ULM students, both undergraduate study programs and professions involved in committees, where this activity can be a place to hone their soft skills and hard skills.

ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Si., who attended this event said that he paid special attention to the quality of resources produced through ULM. According to him, this kind of activity will be a means for developing the professionalism of ULM dental students at both undergraduate and professional levels, so he fully supports the implementation of this Free Dental Treatment activity.

“The involvement of ULM FKG lecturers and students will help students to improve their skills in order to provide services to the community,” said the Rector.
