ULM Presents Professors from UNHAS, Provides Understanding of Strategy for PTNBH

Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) presented the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs at Hasanuddin University (UNHAS), Prof. Drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM(K) on Saturday (18/11/2023) at Hall 4 SAC General Building ULM Banjarmasin. The presence of Prof. Ruslin was in order to provide material on “Continuous Quality Improvement Towards Accelerating Improvement of BLU Service Performance Towards PTNBH”.

This event was attended by leaders in the ULM environment starting from the Vice Rector, Dean and Deputy Dean, Postgraduate Director and Deputy Director, Head of Bureau, Heads of Institutions, Head of Study Programs, Head of UPT, IKU Team, and the ULM Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Task Force team in the Lambung Mangkurat University environment.

In the material presented, Prof. Ruslin provided an understanding of the basic management principles of management and governance in the context of moving towards a Legal Entity State University (PTNBH). As a comparison and learning material, Prof. Ruslin presented material on the direction of development of both policy and strategic planning and governance at Hasanuddin University as PTNBH.

Prof. Ruslin said that there was a need for a strategic plan in the fields of education and student affairs. He also said that PTN needs to determine priority strategies and programs based on strategic plans formed from:

1. Recognition and understanding of external and internal conditions and issues;
2. University vision and mission;
3. University development direction and policy (long term plan);
4. Synchronization of Kemendikbudristek performance indicators; And
5. Development of Science and Technology.

PTNBH is the highest level of autonomy for a state university. PTNs with PTNBH status have the right and have full autonomy in managing finances and resources, including lecturers and educational staff (tendik). A PTN is designated as PTN-BH through government regulations and will have full control over their own assets and finances.

Not only that, universities that become PTN-BH also have wider facilities and opportunities to improve their reputation and academic quality. By becoming PTNBH, Prof. Ruslin said that the role of universities will become increasingly relevant and urgent in preparing human resources that are more adaptive and competitive towards global changes.
