Rector Inaugurates Two Professors at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs
Banjarmasin – Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., re-appointed the new professor on Tuesday (24/10/2023). This agenda was carried out in the Open Session of the Senate of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) located in the Hall on the First Floor of the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate. Two new professors from the ULM Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs were inaugurated directly by the ULM Chancellor, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Syamsu Hidayat, MP., and Prof. Dr. Leila Ariyani Sofia, S.Pi., M.P. Through this inauguration, the ULM Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs officially has two new professors in the field of Fisheries Socioeconomic Sciences and a total of 8 professors.
On this occasion, the Rector congratulated the professors who were inaugurated. He also said that in 2023, ULM will experience a significant increase in the number of professors.
“This is a new historical momentum for ULM, we succeeded in producing 48 professors in a year,” he said.
For this achievement, Prof. Ahmad expressed his thanks to the entire ULM academic community who have collaborated in realizing this achievement, especially the lecturers who have made efforts to become professors. To date, ULM has a total of 116 professors, making ULM the university with the most professors in the Kalimantan region.
On this occasion Prof. Ahmad also said that there are 4 study programs at ULM which are in the process of obtaining international accreditation.
