FEB ULM International Seminar Discusses Regional and Global Economic Strategies
BANJARMASIN – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB ULM) concluded its 67th anniversary celebrations with an international seminar held at the Lecture Theater of FEB ULM Banjarmasin on Saturday (1/11/2025). This event culminated various academic and non-academic events held throughout October.
With the theme “Knitting Togetherness: Flowing in Harmony, Uniting in Symphony,” the 67th anniversary celebrations of FEB ULM included various activities, including an Art Charity Performance, the Bizz Cup sports competition (badminton, chess, mini soccer, and e-sports), and a closing international seminar.
The international seminar featured four keynote speakers who shared strategic insights on regional and global economics and development. They were Dr. Muzdalifah, S.E., M.Si. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Economics and Business, Lambung Mangkurat University), Bekti Hendri Atmoko, S.E., M.H. (Head of Budget Implementation Development Section II B, Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes and Taxes, South Kalimantan), Dr. Syahrituah Siregar, S.E., M.A. (Head of the Department of Economics and Development Studies, Faculty of Economics and Business, Lambung Mangkurat University), and Dr. Biswa Nath Bhattacharyay, an international consultant and former Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The event, attended by 270 students from various faculties at ULM, provided a forum for the exchange of interdisciplinary ideas and strengthened FEB ULM’s role as a center for the development of economics oriented toward global collaboration and sustainable innovation.
The Chair of the 67th Harlah Committee, Muh. Rifki, stated that the spirit of togetherness reflected throughout the series of events symbolized the faculty’s commitment to continuous work and adaptation to changing times.
“We hope that this Harlah commemoration can rekindle the spirit of the FEB ULM academic community to continue learning and innovating for mutual progress,” he said.
Through this 67th anniversary celebration, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) affirms its role as a higher education institution actively building international collaborations, strengthening academic competencies, and fostering a spirit of togetherness on campus. This momentum is expected to encourage the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) ULM to continue contributing to providing adaptive and globally competitive economics education.
