Ministry of Trade and ULM Sign MoU: Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia Gives Inspirational Public Lecture
Banjarmasin – The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendag RI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) at the General Building of the ULM Student Activity Center, Banjarmasin City. The signing was carried out by the Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad SE, MSi, and the Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah Roro Esti Widya Putri, BA, PGDip, MSc.
This public lecture discussed the development of consumer protection for universities, with the hope that students will understand the trade-related policies carried out by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia during the administration of President Prabowo Subianto.
“There are many things I want to share, related to the programs of the Minister of Trade, Budi Santoso. How to secure the domestic market and expand the international market,” explained Dyah Roro.
Dyah Roro also shared a number of data on the achievements and targets of the Ministry of Trade, including downstreaming the creation of domestic added value, the development of Indonesia’s export structure, securing the Indonesian market, and expanding the export market.
“As well as optimizing MSMEs that can also export. There are several domestic and foreign agreements. Hopefully it can open up our opportunities,” she added.
Dyah Roro also emphasized that expanding the international market is not an easy challenge. However, the Ministry of Trade has initiated a number of international agreements to strengthen bilateral relations and expand market access for Indonesia.
“Several agreements that have been implemented are expected to improve bilateral relations and provide added value for Indonesia,” she added.
Meanwhile, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bahri, S.E., M.Si, expressed his gratitude for the arrival of the Deputy Minister of Trade to ULM.
“It is an honor for ULM to welcome the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Dyah Roro Esti at this public lecture,” he said.
He hopes that this public lecture will inspire students to make achievements and achieve their dreams like the Deputy Minister of Trade, Dyah. He also highlighted the importance of signing the MoU between ULM and the Indonesian Ministry of Trade in the hope of providing goodness for both parties in the future.
“Of course, ULM thanks the Ministry of Trade for agreeing to establish cooperation through the MoU, God willing, it will be a blessing,” concluded the Rector.
