ULM Inaugurates 4 Professors, Even Adds 50 Professors in 1 Year
Banjarmasin – Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Si., appointed 4 (four) new professors. The inauguration event was held in the Hall on the 1st floor of the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate Building on Wednesday (21/12/2023). There are 4 (four) professors who were inaugurated, namely Prof. Dr. Dr. Huldani, M. Imun., Prof. Dr. Drs. Eko Suhartono, M.Si., and Prof. Dr. Dr. Edi Hartoyo, Sp.A. (K) from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) and Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani, S.Pd., M.M., from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) ULM. The inauguration of these four new professors means that ULM officially has 118 professors and added 50 professors within a period of 1 year.
In his speech, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., expressed his appreciation and appreciation to the professors who had just been appointed. According to the Rector, by increasing the number of ULM professors, it can be ensured that the development of knowledge and technology within the ULM environment can continue to increase and its quality will be better.
On this occasion, the Rector of ULM also conveyed the various achievements that ULM has achieved during 2023, including 6 study programs at ULM that have received international accreditation. This year ULM also achieved various achievements in student competitions both at national and international levels. The Rector also said that ULM plans to build a campus in Kotabaru Regency as a strategic effort to equalize education in South Kalimantan.
ULM’s achievement in adding professors was explained by the Rector as part of the strategic steps taken to improve the quality of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education at ULM. The Rector believes that with the increasing number of professors that ULM has, in the future it will also improve the quality of research, education and community service at ULM.
“Better quality will of course encourage ULM’s competitiveness to become an increasingly advanced and developing higher education institution in the Republic of Indonesia,” said Prof. Ahmad.
The addition of ULM professors can also enable ULM to increase its doctoral study programs. Currently ULM has 8 doctoral programs (S3), with the increase in the number of professors, the Rector of ULM also stated the target of adding at least 4 (four) doctoral programs. The Rector also hopes that in the future ULM can increase its acquisition of international accreditation and scientific publication rankings.
“This is in order to prepare the human resources needed by our nation and state to move towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” he said.
The 4 professors who were inaugurated by the Rector of ULM on this occasion were, Prof. Dr. Dr. Huldani, M.Imun., with a scientific oration entitled “12-30 Minute Running Aerobic Exercise Increases Macrophage Function in Increasing Body Immunity”, Prof. Dr. Drs. Eko Suhartono, M.Si., with a scientific oration entitled “Dissecting Molecular Complexity: Heavy Metal Toxicology and Human Health”, Prof. Dr. Dr. Edi Hartoyo, Sp.A. (K) with a scientific oration entitled “Dengue Vaccination in the Framework of Indonesia Towards ‘Zero Death’ Dengue by 2030”, and Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani, S.Pd., M.M., with a scientific oration entitled “The Interaction of Culture and Personality in Forming the Loyalty of State Civil Apparatus to Organizations: Distinguishing Which is Ratik and Which is Diamond”.
