Public Lecture by the Chairman of Ombudsman Indonesia: Synergy of Ombudsman and Higher Education in Supervising Public Services In the Era of Society 5.0
Banjarmasin – The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) and universities have an important role in supervising public services in the era of society 5.0. ORI is a state institution tasked with supervising the implementation of public services, while universities are educational institutions that produce quality human resources (HR).
In the era of society 5.0, public services are required to be increasingly high quality, responsive and inclusive. This is in line with the increasingly rapid development of digital technology. Digital transformation in public services provides opportunities and challenges for public service providers. Opportunities to provide faster, easier and more efficient services. Meanwhile, the challenge is to maintain service quality and safety. Apart from that, it can be made easier to carry out research and studies related to the supervision of public services. This research and study can produce recommendations for improving the delivery of public services. Lastly, increasing the effectiveness of supervision of public services, especially in terms of handling public complaints.
