POMNAS 2023 is Over, ULM Athletes Donate Medals to South Kalimantan

The XVIII South Kalimantan National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) 2023 has ended and closed on Wednesday (22/11/2023). South Kalimantan achieved 6th place with a total of 42 medals consisting of 8 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 27 bronze medals.

Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) sent 82 athletes to take part in the national sports competition. These ULM athletes also contributed medals to the province of South Kalimantan. The following are the medals won by ULM athletes at POMNAS XVIII South Kalimantan 2023:

1) Silver Medal in Athletics in the Men’s Discus Throw competition, won by Anggi Sahrian (NIM. 2010122310006) from the FKIP Physical Education study program;

2) Silver Medal in the sport of Chess with the Men’s Team Standard Chess competition number, won by Sultan Aulia (NIM. 2010211110043) from the Legal Sciences study program, Faculty of Law;

3) Silver Medal in the Shorinji Kempo sport with the Randori Class 45 KG Men’s competition number, won by Muhammad Yahya (NIM. 2010112310005) from the PPKN FKIP Education study program;

4) Silver medal in the Shorinji Kempo sport with the women’s 50KG Class Randori competition number, won by Rahmayanti (NIM. 2010122120017) from the FKIP Physical Education study program;

5) Bronze medal in the Shorinji Kempo sport with the Randori Class 70 KG Men’s competition number, won by Rizky Kurnia Nugraha (NIM. 22310122210074) from the FKIP Physical Education study program;

6) Bronze Medal in the sport of Wrestling in the Men’s Greco-Roman Style 87 KG competition number, won by Muhammad Nadjmi Rajibi (NIM. 2110122110007) from the FKIP Physical Education study program;

7) Bronze Medal in Athletics in the Women’s 800M race, won by Azizah Khusnul Qotimah (NIM. 2010122320017) from the FKIP Physical Education study program;

8) Bronze medal in the sport of Karate in the Women’s Individual Kata competition, won by Rezly Amadea Juniar (NIM. 2110211220146) from the Legal Sciences study program, Faculty of Law;

9) Bronze medal in the Bridge sport with the Women’s Pairs competition number and the Women’s Team competition number, won by Lisda Yusvianti (NIM. 2110411220025) from the FISIP Public Administration study program;

10) Bronze medal in the Bridge sport in the Men’s Team competition and Mixed Team competition, won by Bhimo N. Whibisono (NIM. 2211016310018) from the FMIPA Computer Science study program;

11) The Bronze Medal in the Bridge sport in the Mixed Team and Women’s team competitions was won by Helmina Salwa (NIM. 2111015320007) from the FMIPA Pharmacy study program.

These achievements should be appreciated. With the achievements made by these athletes, it will certainly have a positive influence and increase the existence of Lambung Mangkurat University at the national level. Obtaining this achievement can also fill in the second point in the Main Performance Indicators (IKU), where universities are asked to encourage students to gain experience outside campus, whether in activities outside campus, to achieve achievements.

Apart from having a positive impact on the university, student participation also has a positive impact on the students themselves. By taking part in activities and competitions outside campus at regional, national and even international levels, it will certainly increase the insight and experience for students themselves that they cannot get from inside campus. It is also hoped that this achievement can be a motivation for other students to also develop their interests and talents both in academic and non-academic aspects. By developing their interests and talents, students are expected to have added value when they graduate from college and enter the world of work.
