Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) welcomed the Main Director of BPJS Health, Prof. Dr. Ali Ghufron Mukti, M.Sc., Ph.D., AAK on Thursday (2/11/2023). The arrival of Prof. Ghufron was in the context of a Public Lecture held at the Lecture Theater General Building ULM Banjarmasin.
This public lecture with the theme ” Overview of National Health Insurance and Comparison with Other Countries ” was attended by hundreds of participants consisting of the ULM academic community and even inbound students from the 2023 ULM Independent Student Exchange (PMM).
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE, M.Si., in his speech said that BPJS has an important role in Indonesia’s progress. This is because BPJS as a health insurance program is very helpful in meeting the health needs of Indonesian citizens, especially students as the younger generation.
“Health is the most basic need for every child of the nation in order to increase their contribution to encouraging the successful implementation of national development,” he said.
The health of the younger generation is important. Therefore, ULM has also collaborated with BPJS Health through the Lambung Mangkurat Medical Center (LMMC) in providing support in the health sector for the entire academic community. With health insurance, students as the younger generation can focus on making their best contribution to the regional development process.
“One of the best contributions that students can make in the development implementation process is to achieve the highest achievements. “Don’t spend too long on campus, increase your GPA, and be active in various MBKM activities,” said the Chancellor.
BPJS Health as a state institution that plays a role in providing national health insurance for all Indonesian people has the principle of mutual cooperation, where BPJS Health becomes a forum for all Indonesian citizens to contribute to supporting health programs together.
Prof. Ali Ghufron said that the National Health Insurance program is a right for all Indonesian people. Therefore, BPJS is here as a solution for social health security in Indonesia. Currently, BPJS Health is focusing on Transforming Service Quality.
“One of them is through easy access to health facilities via NIK and the adoption of online queues, which have succeeded in reducing waiting times when accessing health services,” said Prof. Ali Ghufron.
