ULM’s Computer Science Study Program Accreditation Visit Strengthens Commitment to Educational Quality

Banjarbaru – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) welcomed a team of assessors for a field accreditation assessment of the Computer Science Undergraduate Program in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Banjarbaru.

The assessors consisted of Prof. Drs. Heru Suhartanto, M.Sc., Ph.D. from the University of Indonesia and Dr. Emy Setyaningsih, S.Si., M.Kom. from the University of AKPRIND Indonesia. The event was also attended by university and faculty leaders, including the Dean of FMIPA, the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), the Head of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP), and the Vice Deans of FMIPA.

On this occasion, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc. was present in person to open the assessment. The Rector welcomed the assessment team and expressed his hope that the assessment process would run smoothly and yield the best results for the development of the study program.

“On behalf of the entire academic community of Lambung Mangkurat University, allow me to welcome the assessment team. I hope this field assessment goes well and produces positive results for the development of the Computer Science Study Program,” he said.

The Rector also stated that this field assessment, conducted during the month of Ramadan, is expected to bring blessings to all parties involved in efforts to improve the quality of education at ULM.

On the occasion, the Rector outlined the development of the university, now 67 years old, with 136 study programs across 11 faculties and a postgraduate program. ULM also recently obtained permits to open six subspecialty medical study programs as part of strengthening higher education services.

“ULM continues to strengthen academic quality through the development of research facilities, including the Integrated Laboratory, which has six laboratories accredited by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) and ISO certified,” said the Rector.

Through this field assessment, ULM hopes that the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences’ Undergraduate Computer Science Program can further improve the quality of its education, research, and community service, as well as produce competent and competitive graduates at the national and international levels.
